Frederiksted Cruise Port Guide
Frederiksted serves as the primary cruise port for Saint Croix. Large cruise ships dock at the Ann E. Abramson Pier, a substantial 1,526-foot-long pier capable of accommodating two vessels simultaneously. The pier is centrally located within Frederiksted town, providing immediate access to local shopping and attractions. For passenger convenience, a new electric trolley was introduced in 2023 to assist with transport along the pier. A tourism information kiosk and public restrooms are available at the pier's head. While Frederiksted offers its own charm, including beaches within a 10-15 minute walk, Christiansted, the island's capital, is the main hub for more extensive duty-free shopping, historical sightseeing, and fine dining. Smaller cruise ships typically berth at Gallows Bay Dock in Christiansted, which is approximately 1 mile (1.6 km) east of the town center. English is the official language, and Spanish is also spoken. Free Wi-Fi is available in many locations.
